Introduction

The Tunnel Rush is a classic reaction game. The quickest participants tend to have the best foresight. The camera speeds through a glowing first-person tunnel with barriers such as walls, bars, and spinning objects obscuring bits of the route. As speed increases, colors change and create new scenery, while safe holes become increasingly difficult to perceive in time. Only the left and right buttons are used for navigation, which makes it easy for anyone to see when something is incorrect. The difficulty level should be selected before the player begins playing; once the obstacle is on screen, there is little hope of success even if the player plays perfectly.

How to Play Tunnel Rush

Look past the current barrier and find your next opening side before the tunnel gets there. Don't hold in one direction until the camera turns too much; use small left or right movements. Rotating barriers require early lines since you should take into account where the gap will be when you get there, rather than where it is now. With increasing speed, do not move unnecessarily and make sure your line is smooth. If this is the same obstacle that is blocking your success, turn a little earlier.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why would I go off even when I try to steer toward the gap?
The turn may start too late for the current speed. Try to aim ahead of the upcoming hole and correct early.
Does Tunnel Rush become faster?
Yes. Speed boosts make it more difficult to read further ahead and leave less time per steer decision.
